Cricket sports seem to be one of the most unknown sports to Koreans. In fact, I lived until I came to New Zealand without knowing the cricket movement. But now in New Zealand, on the other side of the Korean district, the Cricket World Cup is being held. It's like we're playing the crazy soccer world cup every four years!
Just like Koreans are enthusiastic about the soccer world cup, I've been curious because Kiwi men are very crazy about cricket. I would like to write a testimony at the back, and once I give you some quick information about cricket,
Cricket World Cup website:http://www.icc-cricket.com/cricket-world-cup
1) Most cricket countries were dominated by England. Dominated but not now, Commonwealth countries-Australia, New Zealand, India, South Africa, Scotland, Ireland, Zimbabwe.. In total, only 14 countries participate. So, the reason why Koreans have to know almost no cricket is because it was historically unrelated.
2) Once you throw the ball and look like a baseball bat, it looks like a baseball, but it's almost different except throwing and hitting. First of all, baseball is the first and the second.. After this team attack, the other team attack, and the other team attacks 9 times.
The person who hits the ball. There are three sticks on the back, and there's something on the stick. If the ball thrower touches it and drops it, the batter can be out.
This guy is a pitcher. The pitcher runs 5 meters away and throws the ball before throwing it. Don't throw on the spot
The left-most referee, the person with the raised hand is the pitcher, the next batter next to him (previously shown), and the current batter on the other side of the pitcher
3) How to win: The baseball field is diamond-shaped and runs from first base to home to score. Cricket must run until the ball arrives on the opposite white line. It is expressed as 1 run once-This is the team with the highest number of runs. If you hit the ball and it becomes a home run (outside), it becomes 6 Run, and if the ball rolls to the end of the cricket field, 4 Run is added.
So what is the way to get the batter (the person with the bat) out,
1-How to touch the stick behind the batter to make it out
2-How the ball floats and catches it all at once (like a baseball)
3-If the ball arrives before reaching the opposite pitch (white line)
4-If the batter is prevented from touching the stick by the leg kicked by the batter
There is. I'm barely aware of cricket now, so I still don't know all the cricket rules.
As you wrote in the title, the reason why "I'm almost a kiwi person when I play cricket" is that this game is really ridiculously long. How long does it take to start at 2 pm, it usually ends at 9 or 10 pm.... When the game starts, we have lunch, dinner and TV watching, and we are ready to go to bed. It would be.. At least 6 hours is normal and it would be a good thing if it was a one-day game... ㅜㅜ
Some cricket matches last from 3 days to 5 days. (dump)
Rugby doesn't look so good and fun (it feels like watching the sturdy players defending with the body like the one in the movie 300), but cricket is a little poorly adapted! I couldn't be in the stadium all day, and I thought Kiwi friends were so-called "time to enjoy drinking beer at the stadium" (just like we'd enjoy not eating baseball at the baseball field but eating veins).
There are a lot of rules about cricket, but in this article, the sport of cricket is popular in New Zealand! This is for information only, please refer to :)
